Wednesday night, we traveled south to Svedala Sporthall, for the first of four final away matches before SM-playoffs. We kept the score close in the second set, but were unable to find our rhythm in the match, falling 0-3 to Svedala.
Svedala had a great serving night, pressuring us out of system with 14 aces. Like we expected, their quick offense was one step ahead of us defensively, and despite some great efforts, we could not score.
This is exactly the type of pressure we will see in the playoffs, and it is important for us to keep fighting and working hard to play together. We saw in the second set what we are capable of, but we need to find a way to keep playing at that high of a level for a longer period of time.
Tomorrow (Friday), we head down to Denmark to meet Amager VK in our last Öresundliga match of the year. This is another great chance for us to use many different lineups, but also for us to train at staying mentally focused and to shift into another gear at the end of each set.
